KENNETH KOJO AWUKU
— Managing Partner
Ken is a co-founder and the Managing Partner of the firm. He has over ten (10) years practice experience as a Solicitor and Barrister of the Supreme Court of Ghana.
Ken’s experience in legal practice covers Immovable Property, Commercial Law, Divorce & Matrimonial Law, Mergers and Acquisitions, Due Diligence and Intelligence Gathering, Labour and Employment Law, Intellectual Property, Company Law, Family Law, Administrative and Public Law, Banking and Finance Law, Energy Law, Legal and Governance Audit, Probate, Succession and Trusts, General Litigation/Alternative Dispute Resolution and Entertainment Business Law.
His clientele includes individuals and corporate clients. He has also assisted and supported pro–bono initiatives to offer free legal services for some vulnerable persons and he is a strong advocate for the preservation of the human dignity of all citizens.
Prior to co-founding Primo Law Chambers, Ken practised with Acquah Sampson & Associates, Anku & Anku @ Law, and Dr. Ekow Daniels & Co., where he developed a strong foundation across diverse areas of legal practice.
Ken has also worked with a number of reputable organisations, including the Unicorn Group, Origin8 Saatchi & Saatchi, Intercontinental Bank Ghana Limited, Beige Savings and Loans, and the Judicial Service of Ghana.
FRANK KESSIE-ANNOR
— Partner, Commercial
Frank is a co-founder of Primo Law Chambers, a corporate law firm in Accra and heads the commercial practice unit of the firm. He is a lawyer and a skilled tax professional with over 17 years of combined experience in both practice and industry. He handles complex and high-stakes commercial advisory matters.
Frank is particularly interested in corporate and commercial practice, Legal advisory, Company Secretarial & Regulatory Compliance. He provides transactional, tax planning, and tax litigation counsel to businesses including multinational enterprises in Ghana. He has significant experience in creating and implementing tax-efficient corporate and partnership structures for all types of business entities including business startups.
His practice serves a variety of sectors including, but not limited to, banking, agri-business, oil & gas, mining construction, financial services, hospitality, retail, and individual consultancy.
As part of his pro bono work, Frank advises start up and incubating companies.
Frank’s experience includes working for Kosmos Energy HC, Deloitte, and the Ghana Revenue Authority. He has also worked for Acquah Sampson & Associates, Anku & Anku @ Law.
EMMANUEL KOFI DARKO
— Partner, Litigation
Emmanuel Kofi Darko is a Co-founder of Primo Law Chambers. Emmanuel combines active commercial practice and litigation. As a Solicitor and Barrister of the Supreme Court of Ghana he has successfully represented clients across the hierarchy of the courts in Ghana including the Supreme Court of Ghana. He has over Ten (10) years of active practice experience having carried out advocacy and clients’ representation in over 200 cases including pro bono.
Emmanuel has, in commercial practice, provided myriads of legal services to many companies in Ghana including foreign enterprises operating within the Jurisdiction and as part of these services provided Retainership legal services, advisory and worked as Company Secretary. He has also represented commercial clients at arbitrations.
Prior to co-founding Primo Law Chambers, a corporate focused law firm, Emmanuel had worked with Kulendi@Law where among other things, he was very instrumental in training, mentoring and/or guiding many young lawyers.
ALFRED KWAKU TAYE OWARE
— Partner, Commercial
Alfred is a Co-Founder of Primo Law Chambers and a dual-qualified professional with extensive experience in both law and accounting. He has over six years of legal practice experience and more than twenty years of professional experience as a Chartered Accountant.
Alfred trained at Kulendi @ Law, where he developed a strong foundation in litigation, legal advisory, and client representation. He has since built a solid foundation in courtroom advocacy. He brings strategic insight to commercial dispute borne out of courtroom practical know-how.
His core practice focuses on commercial law, where he advises businesses on a wide range of corporate and transactional matters. Leveraging his deep financial background, he provides clients with practical, business-oriented legal solutions that address both legal and financial complexities.
Prior to and alongside his legal career, he worked with multinational companies in the mining and oil & gas sectors. This experience has given him a strong understanding of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, contract negotiation, and the operational realities of large-scale enterprises.
Alfred’s unique combination of legal expertise and financial acumen positions him to effectively support clients in navigating complex commercial transactions, managing risk, and resolving disputes.
